Welcome to Pack 49 New Lenox

The adventure starts with Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys  in Kindergarten through 5th grades. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Cub Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.

Pack 49 is located in the Village of New Lenox. We are a member of Rainbow Council & sponsored by the American Legion Post 1977. Pack 49 was started in 1952 and we have grown over the years. We are proud to say that we are the oldest Pack in New Lenox!!

Our pack is very active, with meetings & outings throughout the year. Cub Scouting is a family activity we welcome family at our pack meeting and other pack activities.

Den Meetings: Boys meet monthly in groups according to their age. During this time the boys and their leaders focus on games, crafts, activities & work towards meeting their requirements of their rank.

Pack Meetings: This is where the boys really get to shine!! All the scouts in the pack & their family typically meet the 3rd Thursday of each month and the boys share what they have learned and receive recognition for the accomplishments they have made and the goals they have achieved.

In addition to these opportunities, the pack participates in outings such as, hiking, camping, day camp, food drives, ice cream social, rocket launches, wreaths across America, pinewood derby, marching in the Loyalty Day Parade, swimming, overnights and so much more.
